Dragonfly Summer

A part of me thinks that would be a great chapter book title. That part of me isn't strong enough to overpower the other part of me that says to let someone else write it. Anyway, that isn't even what this post is about.

This really has been a dragonfly summer. It's also been an earwig and grasshopper summer, but I guess the bugs share the world.

The dragonflies are in large concentrations around the weeds in the garden and the boys have made good use of their insect nets. This little guy is camped out on our front room screen. He's probably waiting until the temp rises a little more so he can beat those little wings and join his large, extended family.
