Hallo-Christmas

Joseph knows something is in the air. He senses the older kids' excitement and is learning new vocabulary words...Halloween, birthday and Christmas. Things are beginning to happen!

In his confusion and ignorance, Joseph thinks Halloween and Christmas are the same holiday. It's been a little difficult to straighten him out, so I guess he'll just have to figure it out as we go along.

Last night we put up the Halloween decorations. Joseph kept coming out of his room to observe. He was quite interested in this:

He didn't see this part:

But they all figured it out in the morning. When the door opens, the spider drops. Our door opened a record number of times today!
We also have our traditional bats hanging from the ceiling. I made these 5 years ago. They are holding up pretty good! When the blower from the fireplace turns on, the bats "fly." Sarah really enjoys these.

And then we got this out. Now Joseph is really confused. I finished the Christmas stockings today and wanted to see how they looked on the board we made back in January. Sarah's in there to be cute. Rebekah is in there to be weird.

So Merry Halloween, Everyone!
